Thirty years ago — 1993 On the evening of his assassination, President Abraham Lincoln was carried to the Ford Theater in a carriage that later belonged to Dr. Francis Brewer of Westfield. When Dr. Brewer sold the carriage, its lanterns were removed and became the property of Anthony Militellon of Westfield. The two lanterns, along with several documents which prove their authenticity, have been loaned to the McClurg Museum for the month of June. Thirty years ago — 1993 Dick Lord Sr. and David Lord, both of Fredonia, recently showed off their antique cars at Shorewood Country Club. Dick Lord’s car is a 1937 Cadillac Opera Coupe with two pull-down seats in back. The color is a rich Beauregard beige. David Lord’s self-restored 1930 Model A coupe is Thorn Brown in color with black fenders and wheels and pinstripe in Ford orange. Thirty years ago — 1993 Samuel R. Miserendino, the senior partner in the law firm of Miserendino, Krull and Foley, P.C., has announced the opening of an office for the practice of law at 419 Central Ave. in Dunkirk as of June 1. A Silver Creek native, Miserendino founded the law firm which specializes in personal injury litigation back in 1958.
