Thirty years ago — 1993 On the evening of his assassination, President Abraham Lincoln was carried to the Ford Theater in a carriage that later belonged to Dr. Francis Brewer of Westfield. When Dr. Brewer sold the carriage, its lanterns were removed and became the property of Anthony Militellon of Westfield. The two lanterns, along with several documents which prove their authenticity, have been loaned to the McClurg Museum for the month of June. Dick Lord’s car is a 1937 Cadillac Opera Coupe with two pull-down seats in back. The color is a rich Beauregard beige. Miserendino, the senior partner in the law firm of Miserendino, Krull and Foley, P.C., has announced the opening of an office for the practice of law at 419 Central Ave. in Dunkirk as of June 1.
