SUNDAY SHOUTOUT: Recognizing a resident’s dedication

OBSERVER Photo by Gib Snyder City resident Mallory Wojcinski was honored by Mayor Willie Rosas during Wednesday’s Common Council meeting for her contributions in helping to make the lives of others better as a community advocate in the City of Dunkirk.

There’s one Dunkirk citizen whose concern and efforts to better the community are a model for others. Last week, city of Dunkirk officials honored Mallory Wojcinski with a Certificate of Recognition on behalf of Common Council and the citizens of Dunkirk for her for her caring, drive and determination.

“Mallory Wojcinski demonstrates every day through her actions and participation that she truly cares about the community and the people who live here,” stated the certificate, which was awarded by city Mayor Wilfred Rosas.

Wojcinski also recently was part of a “rock star” group of four young adults who were honored in Albany for their amazing achievements during the Association of New York State Youth Bureaus’ and The Coalition for Homeless Youth’s 49th Annual Youth Development Leadership Training Conference last month.

Her giving spirit and determination is something worth celebrating.
