Announcements Annual Grape Belt Open is Aug. 10 at Pinehurst The third annual Grape Belt Open is set for Aug. 10 at Pinehurst Golf Club in Westfield. The event is a four-person scramble format and includes refreshments, dinner and awards. All proceeds benefit the Grape Discovery Center, allowing the center to continue and operate as a non-profit, encourage tourism and educate all about the grape growing history in the Lake Erie Region. Adult golf Wednesday Travel League The league held its third major event of the season, the “New York Open”, at Cardinal Hills Golf Course, in Randolph. Robert Calph shot the low round of 76 and has now won all three majors this season, and four straight dating back to last year. Calph became just the fourth golfer to win five career majors, joining Tony Nicosia (12) and both Kerry Murphy and Kevin Kaszuba (five each).
