OLEAN — Fredonia High School’s varsity track and field teams beat Olean High School’s teams on Monday. The boys team won, 72-69, while the Lady Hillbillies won, 83-57.

“Our strengths in the meet were our sprinters, throwers, and distance runners,” Fredonia coach Bob Ball said. “Joell Colon, Diego Rey, and Jake Guerra were multiple event winners. Kevin Redfield and Joshua Johnson each won an event and we won two out of three relays. The closest event of the meet was the 200, where Colon leaned to victory over Josh Bihler by two inches.”
