Now the Panthers have been recognized with two of the league’s postseason awards.

Junior Mandy Brink was named the Player of the Year and Dennis Hinsdale was named a league co-Coach of the Year, sharing the award with Clymer’s Dave Bodamer.

Brink averaged 21.9 points, 7.2 steals, 5.6 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game for the Panthers, who finished with an 8-2 league mark.

Sherman senior Jenna Fisher, who averaged 11.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, 4.1 steals and 3.9 assists per game, was joined by junior teammate Paige Gratto, who averaged 12.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.9 steals and 1.0 blocked shots per game, on the First Team.

Silver Creek senior Abby Rice (20.9 ppg, 10.3 rpb, 3.9 bpg, 3.4 apg, 2.6 spg), Chautauqua Lake senior Lily Woodis (12.8 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 2.4 apg, 2.3 spg, 2.2 bpg), Clymer senior Mikala Einink (9.6 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 2.8 spg, 2.7 apg, 0.4 bpg) and Westfield/Brocton junior Haleigh Dellow (12.0 ppg, 10.0 rpg, 5.0 bpg, 4.0 spg, 4.0 apg) rounded out the First Team.

Clymer senior Karlen Honey and sophomore Alexys Neckers, Sherman junior Hayden Fisher, Westfield/Brocton sophomore Tanleigh Bestine and Panama senior Maddie Lisciandro made up the Second Team.

Honorable-mention selections included Chautauqua Lake’s Mercedez Obert and Erma Wolcott, Panama’s Lilly Odell, Silver Creek’s Jade Bouvier, Sherman’s Kaitlyn Lindsey and Westfield/Brocton’s Makartnee Mortimer.

Chautauqua Lake was honored with the Team Sportsmanship Award and Woodis was their individual representative.

Others recognized for their sportsmanship were: Chautauqua Lake’s Natalie Gilkinson, Neckers, Hayden Fisher, Rice, Mortimer and Lisciandro.
