WESTFIELD — The Westfield Wolverines defeated the Maple Grove Red Dragons 16-6 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 2 West softball on Thursday.

The Wolverines (3-0, 2-0) jumped out to a 6-3 lead after the first two innings and added 10 more runs in the final two innings.

Westfield was led by Haleigh Dellow with four RBI, a home run and two runs, Eva Gnadzinski added another four RBI on three hits and Sydney Hotchkiss had three RBI.

Dellow earned the win for the Wolverines giving up just four hits and striking out 12.

Courtney Martin hit two RBI for the Red Dragons and Erin Mansfield went 3 for 4 and scored three runs. Lydia Darr was the losing pitcher for Maple Grove (0-2, 0-2).
