CLARENCE — Frewsburg/Southwestern claimed eight of 11 first-place finishes to capture the Section VI Class B boys swimming title with 422 points Saturday at Clarence High School.

Gannon Moore led the Trojan Bears with a pair of victories. First, the senior captured the 200-yard freestyle in a school-record and Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association-record time of 1:46.58. Later, Moore won the 100-yard freestyle in a school-record and state-qualifying time of 47.22 seconds.

Senior Logan Hren set a CCAA and school record in the 500-yard freestyle with a winning time of 4:51.19, and also placed second in the 200-yard freestyle (1:49.16).

Freshman Miles Moore won the 50-yard freestyle with a state-qualifying time of 22.01 seconds and also placed second in the 100-yard freestyle (48.98).

Frewsburg/Southwestern’s final individual victory came from senior Brady Lindstrom, who won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:03.12.

Frewsburg/Southwestern won all three relays. The 200-yard medley finished in 1:39.74, the 200-yard freestyle finished in 1:30.63 and the 400-yard freestyle clocked a time of 3:20.40.

East Aurora took second with 251 points followed by Starpoint (217), Williamsville South (191) and Grand Island (185). Dunkirk/Fredonia/Forestville was eighth with 135 points.

Dunkirk/Fredonia/Forestville senior Adam Fred won the 100-yard backstroke in a school-record and state-qualifying time of 54.26 seconds and also placed second in the 50-yard freestyle (22.30).

Dunkirk/Fredonia/Forestville’s fourth-place 400-yard freestyle relay and fifth-place 200-yard medley relay teams also lowered school records.

In the Class A meet at Clarence, Jamestown/Falconer finished eighth out of 16 schools with 115 points. Orchard Park won the Class A title with 372 points.

Jamestown/Falconer’s best finish came from Conner Dean with a third-place showing in the 200-yard individual medley (1:59.52).

Aidan McCleery took fourth in the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle. Jamestown/Falconer’s 200-yard medley relay finished in sixth with a season-best time.

Panama/Maple Grove/Chautauqua Lake took ninth at the Class C championships with 117 points.

Alden won the Class C title with 377 points followed by Tonawanda (268), Springville (223), Eden (218) and Akron (201).

Kody Howard turned in Panama/Maple Grove/Chautauqua Lake’s top finish with a fourth-place showing in the 100-yard freestyle (54.75).
