Anderson scores 33; Bestine nets 29
SINCLAIRVILLE — Emiley Anderson turned in quite a performance in Friday night’s nonleague girls basketball game against Ellicottville.
Anderson poured in 33 points, grabbed eight rebounds and collected 10 steals to lead Cassadaga Valley to a 49-41 victory.
Breonna Hopkins chipped in 11 points, eight rebounds and seven steals; Hailey Anderson brought down nine rebounds; and Payton Meder had eight boards for the Cougars (2-1).
Ande Northrup led the Eagles (1-2) with 12 points and five rebounds; Natalee Leiper had 9 points and 14 rebounds; and Dalayla Alexander chipped in 10 points and seven boards.

BESTINE SHINES BRIGHT
WESTFIELD — Tanleigh Bestine did a little bit of everything in Westfield’s 48-33 victory over Panama in a Division 2 West game.
Not only did Bestine score 29 points, including 14 of 18 from the foul line, she also grabbed 16 rebounds and collected two assists, two steals and a block.
Mackenzie Schumaker chipped in 10 points, five rebounds and three steals as the Wolverines raised their record to 4-0 overall and 1-0 in the division.
Kylie Morgan paced the Panthers (0-4, 0-1) with 21 points.
Westfield led 28-17 at halftime and 44-29 after three quarters.
