Corrina John’s 22 points leads Gowanda to win
GOWANDA — Corrina John hit four 3-pointers and poured in 22 points to lead Gowanda past Chautauqua Lake 53-39 in nonleague girls basketball action on Friday.
Addison Kota contributed 10 points and Lily Scanlan scored seven in the Panthers effort (1-0)
Chautauqua Lake (0-1) was led by Kaylee Tarr shooting 8 for 16, along with seven free throws for a game-high 23 points. Tarr also collected eight rebounds and two steals, Gracie Gerring pulled in seven rebounds and dealt three assists and Brina Jacobson had seven boards.
