The Hanover Hurricanes 11U team clinched the Ted Williams Division Title with a 5-1 win over undefeated Lou Gehrig in the WNY Premier Baseball League.

After scoring in the first inning, Hanover broke the game open in the third adding another four runs on the board. Zach Wicks knocked a two-run single, Brandon Hernandez drew a bases-loaded walk and a wild pitch gave the Hurricanes a 5-1 lead.

Hernandez was strong on the mound with three scoreless innings in relief while giving up no hits and striking out one. Wicks started the game and the only run he surrendered was unearned, while he managed to strike out two batters.

The offense provided 11 total hits with Wicks, Hernandez and Vinny Golembieski recording two each, while Wicks and Glowniak had an RBI.
