KENNEDY — A 69-year-old man faces child pornography charges, state police announced Thursday evening.

On Saturday, troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested John Lewis, 69, of Kennedy, for ten counts of promoting a sexual performance by a child.

The troopers received a cyber tipline report that an IP address, later determined to be Lewis’, had uploaded child pornography. Subsequent investigation and a warrant executed at Lewis’ residence revealed that Lewis was in possession of images of child pornography. He was placed under arrest, transported to SP Jamestown, processed and released with an appearance ticket for the town of Poland Court at a later date.
