December events set at Anderson-Lee
SILVER CREEK — Anderson-Lee Library, located at 43 Main St., is open to the public Monday and Tuesday from noon to 8 p.m., Thursday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday noon to 5 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The library is closed Wednesday and Sunday. In addition, the library will be closed on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, Dec. 24, 25, and 26 for the Christmas holiday
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, computer use is limited and appointments must be made to reserve a time. There is a limit of one hour per day per patron. Please call the library at 934-3468 to reserve a time.
Fax and copy service is available anytime the library is open.
All programming is either virtual or is available via “Take and Make Activity Kits.” Patrons of all ages are invited to stop by and take home a free activity to put together at home.
For the month of December, the library is offering a gingerbread house kit for the kids. Each kit will contain a can of frosting, a package of graham crackers and candy for designing and building a unique house! Teens and adults can make a sock snowman.
Each kit will contain a sock, rice, and a variety of embellishments to make your own adorable snowman. The kits have most of the items needed to put together the project. Items needed at home include scissors, glue, and crayons/colored pencils/markers.
Miss Jill and Miss Amy are still providing storytime, again, on a virtual basis. Check Facebook for all of Miss Jill’s prerecorded stories. New stories from Miss Jill are posted on Tuesday evenings for Bedtime Storytime, Thursday morning for Pre School Storytime, and Friday morning for Fairy Tale Fridays. Miss Amy will read to school age children via Zoom on Thursday mornings at 10:30.
Please watch the library’s Facebook Page, visit www.andersonleelibrary.org, or call the library for connection information.
