Norman J. Odebralski Jr.

Norman J. (Norm) Odebralski Jr., 54, of Dunkirk passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021 at his home. He was born March 22, 1966, in Dunkirk, N.Y., to the late Norman J. Odebralski Sr. and JoAnn (Barone) Odebralski.

A lifelong resident of Dunkirk, he graduated from Dunkirk Senior High School in 1984, where he was a member of the foot-ball and wrestling teams and served as the manager for the baseball team.

He was a parishioner of the Blessed Mary Angela Roman Catholic Parish, a lifetime member of the Moniuszko Club and the First Ward Falcons Club, and a member of the Dom Polski Club.

In his earlier years, Norm was an avid pool player and loved his time playing in various pool leagues. In his later years, Norm enjoyed playing pinochle, hanging out with his buddies at the clubs, going to the casino, watching softball games, and most of all, spending time with his family, whom he cherished more than anything. He was an avid fan of the New York Gi-ants, the New York Mets and the Buffalo Sabres and loved watching them when-ever he could. Norm asked for so little, but gave so very much.

Norm is survived by his loving sisters: Brenda (Andy) Chmura of Dun-kirk, Sue Odebralski of Burlington, N.C. and Tina (Dwayne) Raymond of Fredonia; his loving brother, Tim Odebralski of Dunkirk; his loving nieces & nephews: Erica (Steve) Lahnen, Ryan Pogorzelski, Laken Pogorzelski, Nate Pogorzelski, Heather (Ron) Crowell and Calan Po-gorzelski; his loving great-nieces and nephews: Makenzie, Taylor, Haiden, Logan, Pyper and Ember; and dear family friend, Darcy Sperry. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his paternal grandparents; John and Mary Odebralski; his maternal grandparents; Russell and Mary Barone; brother-in-law, Raymond Pogorzelski; and brother- in-law, Dodge Taylor.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions in Norm’s memory may be made to Blessed Mary Angela Roman Catholic Parish, 295 Lake Shore Drive East, Dunkirk or a charity of one’s choice.
