Dunkirk volleyball falls to Jamestown

JAMESTOWN — The Dunkirk Marauders volleyball team fell to Jamestown on Wednesday in three sets, losing 25-10, 25-11, 25-18.

Jamestown (2-2, 0-2) was led by Emma Pumford with five aces, three assists, three digs and Giovanna Calamunci with five assists, three digs and two kills in the win.

Dunkirk’s standouts include Jessica Beehler, who had two kills, two blocks, four assists and four digs, and Amari Carter who tallied four kills, two blocks and four aces.

Jamestown also took the JV contest in three sets.

Dunkirk (1-3, 0-2) returns to action when it travels to Brocton/Westfield tonight with a 6:30 p.m. start time.
