JAMESTOWN POLICE — Two city residents face charges after a search warrant was executed on Newland Avenue on Thursday. Around 9:25 a.m., the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Investigators executed a search warrant at 1254 Newland Ave. Crystal M. Vogt, Ulus C. Battle III and three other individuals were located inside the residence. Detectives searched the residence and located a quantity of cocaine, digital scales, cutting agents, packaging materials and a quantity of US Currency. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT — Vanessa M. Braun, 43, of Jamestown was charged with first-degree assault, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree harassment. Around 10:57 a.m. Wednesday, officers responded to a west side address for a stabbing. During the investigation, it was determined that Braun did get into a dispute and stab a male in the neck twice with a knife. The male did sustain serious physical injury resulting from the incident. JAMESTOWN POLICE - Two city residents face charges after a traffic stop at 5:08 p.m. Monday near 2000 Washington St. According to a police report, Officers identified the occupants of the vehicle to be Nicholas T. Doland and Crystal R. Borst. Through investigation it was found that Doland, a Bemus Point resident, had an outstanding probation warrant and Borst, a Jamestown resident, was allegedly in possession of a small quantity of fentanyl and buprenorphine naloxone sublingual films. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — PANAMA — On Feb. 2 at about 11:56 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the report of animal cruelty which occurred on Niobe Road. After an investigation it was found that Heather Carlson did sell five ducks that were not properly cared for. Two of the five ducks passed away before they could receive medical attention. The three remaining ducks were euthanized due to the condition that they were in. A Jamestown man convicted of narcotic conspiracy and distribution of fentanyl causing death, was sentenced to serve 25 years in prison. U.S. Attorney Joel Louis Violanti announced Friday that Rocco A. Beardsley, 39, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge John L. Sinatra Jr. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Joshua A. Violanti, Evan K.
