CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE – SHERIDAN – Andrew W. Powers, 35, of Buffalo was charged Wednesday with driving while ability impaired with drugs/alcohol. Powers was stopped on Route 20 around 9:45 p.m. and was allegedly under the influence. He was arrested and transported to the Sheriff's Office for processing. City man charged in shooting incident

A city man has been charged after a gunshot complaint late Saturday evening. Skyler J. Tritapoe, 29, was charged with reckless endangerment, second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon after the 11 p.m. incident. Jamestown police responded to a residence on the north side of the city. During the investigation, officers learned that Tritapoe fired a shotgun at a male nearly striking him. JAMESTOWN POLICE - Two Jamestown residents face charges after city police officers responded to a request from Child Protective Services on the city’s west side at 12:37 p.m. Friday. According to a police report, during a home check, CPS workers discovered that the living conditions in the residence were deplorable. Deputies stopped a vehicle in the area of Route 20 and King Road for an observed infraction. The male operator was immediately suspected of driving the motor vehicle in an intoxicated state.
