CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — HANOVER --- An incident early Friday with a weapon has led to charges. Around 12:01 a.m., members of the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office responded to an altercation. Through an investigation it was found that 38-year-old Jamar Fountain or Irving to have intentionally placed a person of reasonable fear of serious physical injury by displaying a deadly weapon. MAYVILLE --- Four individuals were taken to regional hospitals after a boat collision on Saturday night in Chautauqua Lake. The Sheriff's Office was dispatched to Prendergast Boulevard around 11:10 p.m. for the incident. There was three people on one boat and five on the other. Three victims were injured from the accident and transported to UPMC Chautauqua in Jamestown for their injuries, and one was then flown to UPMC Hamot in Erie for non-life-threatening injuries.
