On Oct. 21, 2017, Melissa Marian Conti and Thomas Anthony Mazza were married at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Dunkirk. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Reverend Thomas Wopperer.

The bride is the daughter of Richard and Rebecca Conti of Fredonia. The groom is the son of Donna Mazza of Ithaca.

The bride was escorted by her father. Her sisters served as her maid of honor and matron of honor, Jennifer Conti of Rochester and Rachel Bruzee of Webster, respectively. Bridesmaids were Morgan Spaulding, friend of the bride, Jaquelyn Jackson, friend of the bride, Corinne Kiessling, friend of the bride, Anny Gano, friend of the bride, and Emily Smith, cousin of the bride.

Best man was Nicholas French, friend of the groom and groomsmen Joseph Vandrew, friend of the groom, Marc Hoaglin, friend of the groom, Timothy Anderson, friend of the groom, Alan Gano, friend of the bride and the groom, and Christopher Bruzee, brother-in-law of the bride.

The ring bearer was Dominic Bruzee, nephew of the bride.

Music was provided by Rachel Smith, Daniel Smith and Thomas and Andrea Gestwicki.

The reception was held at Chautauqua Suites in Mayville.

The bride is a graduate of Mt. Mercy Academy in Buffalo. She received her bachelor’s degrees in theology and psychology from Gannon University. She completed her master’s and PhD programs in behavioral neuroscience at SUNY Binghamton and is a researcher at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.

The groom is a graduate of Lansing High School in Ithaca and received his bachelor’s degree in history from Mansfield University. He is employed at the National Society of Colonial Dames of America in Washington, D.C.

The couple is planning to honeymoon in Alaska and reside in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
