Cassadaga Library in holiday spirit

Submitted Photo

Members of the Cassadaga Library Association met at the library at 18 Maple Ave. in the village to decorate for the Christmas season. The tree was decorated with lights, and many different kinds of ornaments, along with an angel at the top. The children’s reading room was also decorated with a tree. The library, which is a branch of the Mary E. Seymour Library, is open on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Carolyn Wenger is the librarian. Shown in the photograph standing are John Sipos, Kathy George, Diane Shaw, Nancy Mutton, Regina Burlingame and Trudy Coulcher. Seated are Janet Ferry, June Woollett, president, and Ruth Swanson. At the business meeting, election of officers for 2019 was held. Mrs. Woollett will continue as association president, Mrs. Coulcher will serve as secretary, and Mrs. George will serve as treasurer. The Cassadaga Library Association dates back to 1939, when a group of women met to organize the library. New members are always welcome.
