Michelle Poweski and Christopher Gilmour of Hamburg, New York, together with their families, announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Thomas and Kim Poweski of Fredonia. She is a 2007 graduate of Fredonia High School and a 2011 graduate of Slippery Rock University.

She is employed by the Dunkirk City School District as a physical education teacher.

The prospective groom is the son of Paul and JoAnn Gilmour of West Seneca. He is a graduate of St. Francis High School and SUNY Oswego. He is employed by National Fuel.

An August 2017 wedding is being planned.
