Holiday celebration set for Farmers’ Market

Submitted Photo Santa Claus will be visiting the Farmers’ Market on Saturday.

On Saturday, the Fredonia Farmers’ Market will hold its annual holiday celebration at its winter location in the Fredonia Masonic Lodge. The lodge is located at 321 E. Main St. in Fredonia. Winter market hours are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.. This will be the last market until Jan. 8.

Vendors have a wide variety of locally raised meats, eggs, vegetables, maple products, fruit preserves,and raw honey. Delectable baked goods include traditional and gluten-free breads, sweets, and savories. Gong Garden, Om Nohm Gluten-Free Bakery, and Pot-n-Curries also produce prepared foods including quiches, salads, spring rolls, soups, curries, and more.

Craft artisans have many beautiful items available for gift giving. Jewelry, pure beeswax candles, knitted and crocheted hats and scarves, woven belts, and handmade soaps are among the choices. SpiderHerbs and Dandelion & Dreams produce amazing herbal body products sure to please anyone on your gift list.

The market manager always has gift certificates and heavy-duty shopping bags for sale. Cash, credit cards, and SNAP benefits are always accepted.

This week, Santa will be visiting market to greet the little folks, and the Boys and Girls Club of Northern Chautauqua County will supply children’s activities & book give-aways.
