Blessed Mary Angela Rosary Society meets

The Blessed Mary Angela Rosary Society recently held its November meeting on at St. Hyacinth’s Lyceum.

President Martha Bialaszewski greeted the members and led all in the recitation of the Rosary and prayers for ill and deceased members.

The opening prayer was read by Loretta Szalkowski.

Secretary Carol Schiller gave the minutes of the October meeting, and Treasurer Lucille Bartkowski read the financial report. Both were accepted by all.

Vice President Rita Cieslewicz gave the sunshine report. Cards were sent to Nathalie Kolasa, Bialaszewski, Jenny Naruszewicz and Patricia Halas. The illnesses of Betty Kern and Wanda Graminski were noted.

Cieslewicz thanked all who took part in the Living Rosary and all who helped with the reception in the Lyceum.

Jean Szot won the attendance drawing.

Sister Rachel and Sister Andrew sent thanks to all who were generous during the pantry shower on Oct. 16.

The group celebrated the November birthday of Mary Dworak.

A Christmas party will be held Dec. 2 at 5 p.m. at the St. Hedwig’s Social Center. Committee members are the officers. Schiller will serve as chairperson and Kolasa and Sandra Tapasto will be helpers.

Election of officers will take place on Jan. 6, 2014 in the Lyceum at 7 p.m.

Gerry Szukala read the closing prayer.

Nancy Woloszyn, Dworak, Helen Deszcz and Graminski served refreshments. The tables featured fall flowers and placemats.

Prizes were raffled and members played Bingo. Tapasto called the numbers.
