Reverend George Buchanan to speak at UU Congregation

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Northern Chautauqua welcomes Consulting Minister Reverend George Buchanan to the pulpit on Sunday, Oct. 20. Says Buchanan, “As Unitarian Universalists, we often speak of “worship.” Perhaps we mean something different by this term than those in other faith traditions. Or perhaps our Unitarian Universalist worship is more like that of our friends and neighbors than we might think. Hmm…..” Join us as we contemplate “Attending to Worthy Things.”

During worship services, children may remain with their parents, or parents may send children either to the supervised nursery or to the independent play room for children who are able to engage in unsupervised activities such as crafts and games. Both rooms are adjacent to the main room and have large windows which allow parents and children to see one another during the service.

After the worship service, we will hold a sit-down potluck meal with dishes, eating utensils, and serving spoons provided. Bring a dish to pass.

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Northern Chautauqua is a liberal religious community devoted to promoting individual spiritual development, working toward peace, liberty and justice in our immediate and global communities, and providing companionship on life’s sacred journey. Worship services are held each Sunday at 11 a.m. at 222 Temple Street, Fredonia. Parking for those who need close access is located immediately behind the building. Others are asked to park in the lower lot behind the building.
