¯ MAYVILLE — On Saturday at 10:32 p.m., Charles G. Wilson, 46, of Cassadaga was stopped on Valley Street in the village of Mayville for having an inadequate, loud exhaust.

During the stop, deputies assisted by K9 Drake located about 60 grams of marijuana. Wilson was arrested for fourth-degree possession of marijuana and issued an appearance ticket for the town of Chautauqua Court.

¯ SILVER CREEK — At 1:07 a.m. on Thursday morning, deputies observed a vehicle commit traffic violations in the village of Silver Creek. Deputies stopped the vehicle and identified the operator to be Minerva Santos-Rivera, 31, of Dunkirk.

Following an investigation, deputies charged Santos-Rivera with DWI, DWI per se, unlawful possession of marijuana, operating a motor vehicle while using mobile phone and failure to keep right. She will answer her charges in the village of Silver Creek court at a later date.

¯ CHAUTAUQUA — The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation into a burglary that happened in the month of April on Lyons Road in the town of Chautauqua. Through an investigation conducted by the Criminal Investigation Division, it was found that Scott McChesney, 28, of Panama broke into a residence without the homeowner’s permission and stole numerous items from the residence.

A warrant was issued for McChesney, and he was arrested for second-degree burglary and third-degree grand larceny. On Thursday at 10:55 a.m., he was arraigned in Chautauqua Town Court and committed to the Chautauqua County Jail with no bail.
