A Dunkirk woman was charged with driving while intoxicated earlier this week.

Around 2:31 a.m. Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle on Waldorff Road in the city of Dunkirk for an inadequate headlamp. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Hannah K. Acevedo after a short investigation it was determined that Acevedo was operating her vehicle in an intoxicated state.

Acevedo was taken into custody and later released with tickets for an inadequate headlamp, DWI, and DWI per se.

She will be in the city of Dunkirk Court at a later date.
