≤ GERRY — On March 30 at approximately 9:45 p.m., deputies responded to a residence on Jamestown Street for a report of an unwanted person. Upon arrival, deputies spoke to Samantha J. Coleman, 30, of Fredonia. Coleman allegedly gave deputies the wrong name, attempting to avoid being arrested on an outstanding warrant. Deputies also reportedly found a hypodermic needle on Coleman. Deputies took Coleman into custody and charged her with criminal impersonation and criminally possessing a hypodermic needle. Coleman was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.

≤ MAYVILLE — On March 15 at roughly 5:45 p.m., Jordan Klein, 18, allegedly caused damage to a Chautauqua County Jail commissary kiosk, resulting in damages over $1,000. Klein was charged with third-degree criminal mischief. Klein was arraigned on March 25 and bail was set at $20,000 cash / $40,000 property.

≤ PORTLAND — On March 28 at around 5:18 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a local residence for an altercation. Further investigation found that Merritt D. Wolcott, 27, of Brocton, allegedly took a cell phone from a victim without their consent. Wolcott was charged with petit larceny and was later issued an appearance ticket.

≤ BROCTON — On March 28 at about 8:15 p.m., patrol and New York State Police were dispatched to an unwanted, disorderly person at a local residence. Upon further investigation, deputies found that Jennifer M. DeJesus, 35, of Brocton, allegedly entered a dwelling without permission. DeJesus remained at the residence and made verbal threats to a victim in the presence of a child less than 16 years old. Dejesus was located at a later time and charged with second-degree criminal trespass, endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment. Dejesus was released with appearance tickets and is due in Town of Portland court at a later date.

≤ FRENCH CREEK — On March 29 at approximately 5:11 p.m., deputies responded to Route 426 for a motor vehicle accident with injury. Investigation found that Jennifer M. Barton, 29, of Erie, Pa., allegedly attempted to make a turn off Route 426, and turned in front of an oncoming vehicle, striking said vehicle head on. Barton and a passenger in her vehicle were taken to Hamot Hospital to be treated for minor injuries. The operator of the other vehicle was not injured. Barton was charged with failure to yield right of way and was issued a traffic ticket.

Fredonia Police Department

¯ Nelson Addison, 22, of Rochester was charged March 26 with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and speed in zone.

¯ Gregory Barnes, 53, of Fredonia was charged March 27 with unregistered motor vehicle, uninspected motor vehicle, improper use of plates, unlicensed driver and operating without insurance.

¯ Julio Montalvo, 42, of Dunkirk was charged March 28 with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and failure to stop at a stop sign.

¯ Andrew Pardi, 19, of Orchard Park was charged March 29 with underage possession of alcohol.

¯ Mateo May, 19, of Newfane was charged March 30 with a sewer ordinance violation.

¯ Cody Stahl, 20, of Zelienople, Pa., was charged March 30 with an open container violation, littering and underage possession of alcohol.

¯ Daniel Klee, 55, of Dunkirk was charged March 30 with petit larceny.

¯ Zachary Crandall, 22, of Dunkirk was charged March 30 with an open container violation.
