Pair of accidents reported in Cattaraugus County

The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Department has issued news releases regarding two recent motor vehicle accidents. Those include:

¯ A car-deer accident was reported Monday morning on Route 62, Dayton. Deputies report the vehicle was driven by Blake S. Edminister and there were no injuries reported.

¯ Deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident in Leon around 10:50 a.m. Oct. 30. Minor injuries were reported for to P.A. Castellano, who was treated at Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk. A citation was issued to the other driver, Michael Burchalewski.

¯ CLYMER — On Sunday, troopers out of Jamestown arrested Andrew Puscher, 27, of Erie, Pennsylvania, for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated.

Puscher was pulled over on Clymer-Corry Road in Clymer for speeding and after failing several sobriety tests, Puscher was placed under arrest. He was transported to State Police in Jamestown where he allegedly provided a breath sample of .21.

Puscher was then processed, issued tickets returnable to the town of Clymer Court and released. He is scheduled to appear in the town of Clymer Court later in the month.

¯ ASHVILLE — On Monday, Troopers out of Jamestown arrested Michael Miranda, 46, of Warren, Pennsylvania, for second-degree aggravated harassment.

The Troopers responded to a residence in Ashville for a report of a subject attempting to break into a house. Investigation revealed that Miranda had arrived at the residence uninvited and in the preceding days, allegedly sent the victim over 300 Facebook messages and called the victim a dozen times, all of which went unanswered, despite being advised to cease future contact with the victim.

Miranda was placed under arrest, processed at State Police in Jamestown and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail, pending arraignment.
