Chautauqua County Sheriff

BROCTON — An unwanted Cherry Creek man is facing charges after visiting an address on Kinney Street.

At around 6:37 p.m. Friday, Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies checked the location after a report of an order of protection violation. Deputies located Tyler A. Jaynes, 31. Jaynes was charged with second-degree criminal contempt and also was found to have outstanding warrants for his arrest out of the town of Portland.

He was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail to be arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Program.

FRENCH CREEK — At about 11:08 p.m. Friday, sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle on Mann Road for speeding, The operator was identified as Nathan D. Henry, 27, of Corry, Pa. He was found to be In possession of a .45-caliber handgun and did not possess a New York state pistol permit.

Henry was taken into custody and after processing was released with appearance tickets.

State Police at Jamestown

ASHVILLE — Troopers responded to a one-car motor vehicle accident on North Maple Street on Friday. An investigation revealed that the van driven by Alex Barnhardt, 33, of Lancaster was traveling north when it exited the east side of the road and came to rest on its passenger side.

Barnhardt, the driver and sole occupant, was placed under arrest after failing several field sobriety tests. Barnhardt was transported to Jamestown barracks where he was evaluated by a Chautauqua County Drug Recognition Expert and Determined to be under the influence of Central Nervous System depressants.

A blood sample was secured from Barnhardt at UPMC Hospital in Jamestown and Barnhardt was transported back to SP Jamestown for processing. Barnhardt was charged with driving under the influence of drugs and is to be in town of North Harmony Court on a later date. He was not injured in the accident.

State Police at Collins

BRANT — At approximately 3 a.m. Saturday, troopers pulled over Christopher Stockwell, 27, of South Dayton on Route 438 in Brant for traffic violations. After failing several field sobriety tests, Stockwell was placed under arrest. He was transported to Collins where he provided a breath sample of 0.13.

A check of Stockwell’s driving record revealed that his license had been suspended since 2019. He was charged with DWI under Leandra’s Law and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. He is to be in the town of Brant court on a later date. The two minors that were in Stockwell’s vehicle at the time of the traffic stop were turned over to a guardian.

Cattaraugus County Sheriff

LITTLE VALLEY — A Little Valley couple has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child. Cattaraugus County sheriff’s deputies report both Paul S. Borkowski Sr., 72, and Theresa P. Borkowski, 55, both of 110 10th St., were charged Thursday after an investigation. Both also were charged with forcible touching.

Both were released and will appear later in Little Valley Town Court.
