¯ SINCLAIRVILLE — New York State Troopers charged Eric Michael, 29, of Stockton, with driving while ability impaired by drugs – Leandra’s Law.
Michael was pulled over Monday for speeding on county Route 380 and after failing several field sobriety tests, he was placed under arrest. Michael was transported to Fredonia barracks where he was evaluated by a New York State Police Drug Recognition Expert and determined to be under the influence of cannabis and alcohol. was released with tickets directing him to be in town of Gerry Court at a later date. The juvenile who was inside Michael’s vehicle at the time of the arrest was turned over to a third party.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
¯ STOCKTON — An investigation into an altercation in August where a gun was fired has led to the arrest of a 19-year-old. Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies report an investigation into an altercation that occurred Aug. 28 on Waterman Road was conducted. Through this investigation it was found that Kaelyn A. Hayward of Sinclairville had fired a round from a 20-gauge shotgun in the vicinity of a subject and almost striking him.
On Monday, Hayward was taken into custody and charged with first-degree reckless endangerment and second-degree menacing. She was arraigned at and will answer the charges in town court later.
¯ MAYVILLE –While incarcerated at the Chautauqua County Jail on Sept. 4, Nakeya Hardy of Jamestown became disruptive and spit on officers present while they were attempting to place restraints on her. She was charged with second-degree harassment.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
¯ RANDOLPH — Fredric R. Barnes, 39, of Binghamton was taken into custody on a bench warrant. The Sheriff’s Office received a call Friday at 1:30 a.m. about a possible abandoned vehicle on Main Street. The responding deputy was told the owner had a bench warrant out for his arrest from New York State Police Painted Post. When the officer approached the vehicle, the owner was discovered sleeping inside. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the New York State Police in Amity who took Barnes into their custody for the warrant.
¯ SOUTH DAYTON — Kylene M. Hellriegel, 38, of Niagara Street, Jamestown was taken into custody on a warrant. Friday around noon the Jamestown Police Department came into contact with Hellriegel during an unrelated incident when they discovered she had a bench warrant issued from South Dayton Court. She was brought to the Sheriff’s Office, arraigned in court and released on her own recognizance.
¯ LITTLE VALLEY — Justin J. Nickerson, 18, of Grubb Hill Road, Kennedy was taken into custody on a bench warrant Saturday at 11:30 a.m. He was sent to the county jail and is due back to Little Valley Town Court at a later date.
