¯ MAYVILLE — Isaiah T. Pearson, 28, of Mayville, was charged with second-degree assault. Pearson, who is an inmate of the Chautauqua County Jail, allegedly became disorderly Tuesday and threw items. Corrections officers attempted to restrain Pearson when he allegedly began fighting and attacked an officer, causing injury.

¯ POMFRET — An incident that took place more than 16 months ago has led to the arrest of an Angola man. On Aug. 14, 2021,an investigation was conducted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office. It was determined that James W. Haskins, 42, was paid $2,500 to complete a roofing job in the town of Pomfret. Haskins failed to purchase supplies or conduct any work on the roof. On Friday, Haskins turned himself in to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office for the charge fourth-degree grand larceny. He will be arraigned at Chautauqua County CAP Court.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Margie S. Curry, 40, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree harassment, fourth-degree criminal mischief and petit larceny. Officers responded at 3 p.m. Thursday to the north side of the city for a reported domestic incident. It was reported that Curry allegedly harassed another person by striking them multiple times with her hands and with various items, including a mirror that broke. Curry also allegedly took the person’s cell phone. Curry was transported to Jamestown City Jail and held for arraignment.

¯ Khalif O. Swanson, 40, of Jamestown, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, exposure of a person and false personation. Swanson was allegedly observed allegedly urinating in the road at Grant and East Sixth streets. When contacted, Swanson reportedly gave officers a false name and later was found in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine. He is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
