Probe sought in Forestville home fire
FORESTVILLE — The cause of a Saturday evening fire remains under investigation.
Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department investigators say a residential fire at 31 Center St. began around 7 p.m. Responding departments included Sheridan, Sunset Bay, Chautauqua County Emergency Services, Forestville, Silver Creek, and Hanover Center.
Investigators say the fire originated within a second floor crawl space. Two adults and four children were displaced due to the fire. No injuries have been reported.
