CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

– STOCKTON – Three people were placed under arrest after deputies were attempting to locate a Frewsburg man.

On Monday, at 8:25 a.m., deputies were conducting a warrant check at a Stockton business for Andrew Whitford, 30, of Main Street. While making contact with Whitford, deputies observed a vehicle occupied by Shannon Boardman, 31 and Brandon Vangiesen, 32. Deputies were aware of multiple warrants for Vangiesen and an active Order of Protection between the two. Following an investigation, Boardman and Vangiesen, no address available, were allegedly found to have 8.9 grams of fentanyl along with scales and packaging material.

Boardman and Vangiesen were charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia.

Vangeisen was additionally charged with second-degree criminal contempt.

Whitford was located and arrested on a County Court warrant for second-degree sexual abuse.

Alexis Tufino, 46 of Jamestown, was sentenced Monday by Judge David W. Foley to a determinate term of four years in state prison with two years of post-release supervision after being convicted of fourth-degree attempted criminal possession of a narcotic drug, a class D felony.

In April 2023 the Jamestown Police Department conducted a traffic stop of Tufino’s vehicle and located suspected narcotics. A more thorough search of Tufino himself was conducted by officers who located more suspected narcotics. Tufino was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fourth-degree criminal possession of narcotic drug in the Fourth Degree.

On Dec. 11, 2023, Tufino pled guilty to the lesser charge of attempted criminal possession of a narcotic drug as a result of a plea agreement.
