JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Joseph M. Grekalski, 41, of Jamestown, was charged April 19 with driving while intoxicated. According to police, at about 4 p.m., officers received a well being check call at a westside building complex. It was reported, police said, that there was an intoxicated male who had knocked on several apartment doors. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — At around 2:19 a.m. Saturday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Eagle Street in the village of Fredonia. The operator was identified as Alaynea P. Grover., 23, of Dunkirk. Further investigation found Grover to be driving while intoxicated. Brocton man charged with forcible touching A Brocton man has been charged with forcible touching by Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies. Dale F. Parks, 68, of Brocton was charged Tuesday, according to a police report. Deputies received a complaint on Oct. 17, 2025, that Parks allegedly had inappropriate contact with another person. After an investigation into the allegations, investigators with the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office charged Parks , who was given an appearance ticket to be in Portland Town Court later. Jamestown woman dies after Thruway crash

An accident on the New York State Thruway in the town of Evans has claimed the life of a Jamestown woman. New York State Police report at approximately 7:32 a.m. Wednesday, they responded to a one vehicle collision in the eastbound lanes four miles from the Evans-Angola exit. An investigation determined that a 2003 Dodge Caravan traveling eastbound left the driving lane to the passing lane, then traveled onto the north shoulder causing the Dodge to overturn. Rodriguez, 36, of Jamestown was charged Tuesday with felony driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, and unlicensed operator. According to police, at about 11:12 p.m., officers responded to a downtown business for a property damage accident that had just occurred.
