JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT — William Soto, 60, was charged Jan. 15 with driving while intoxicated, and multiple traffic citations. According to police, at about 1:40 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Buffalo Street at Blackstone Avenue for a traffic infraction. Upon further investigation, it was found that Soto allegedly was operating the motor vehicle in an intoxicated condition. He was placed in custody, and taken to Jamestown City Jail. Bell, 45, of Sheridan, was charged Wednesday with aggravated driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, and no stopping/standing/parking on a public road. According to officials, at around 12:12 a.m., deputies responded to a call to check the wellbeing of a motorist in the town of Sheridan. Motorist charged with DWI after striking vehicle, leaving scene in city

A 25-year-old man is facing a number of charges after striking a car that then hit a house on Saturday night. Dunkirk Police reported on Tuesday that at around 8:32 p.m., officers responded to Leming and East Pine Streets for a motor vehicle accident. After a short investigation it was determined the suspect went through a two-way intersection without stopping at the stop sign. The suspect was later identified as Alan Wasserman. Jamestown man to spend 46 months in prison

Jacob Snow, 39, of Jamestown, who was previously convicted of narcotics conspiracy, was sentenced to serve 46 months in prison by U.S. District Judge Lawrence J. Vilardo. Assistant U.S. Attorney Joshua A. Violanti, who handled the case, stated that between January and May 24, 2021, Snow conspired with Alisha A. Klinger and others to sell heroin, fentanyl, and methamphetamine in the Jamestown area. Snow sold drugs and collected payments on behalf of Klinger.
