CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT SHERMAN — At around 11:14 p.m., the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Sherman-Stedman Road. The operator was identified as Derek R. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — SILVER CREEK — At around 11:07 p.m. Wednesday, deputies were dispatched to Central Avenue and Christy Street for a report of a person leaving the scene of an accident. The operator was identified as Alexandria J. Amendola, 73, of Silver Creek. Further Investigation found that Amendola was operating the motor vehicle while intoxicated. She was charged with DWI, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, moving from lane unsafely, and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operator. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Tyler J. Stakelum, 37, of Jamestown, was charged Sept. 30 with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, first-degree criminal contempt, second-degree menacing, and second-degree harassment. According to police, at about 10:29 a.m., officers responded to a Southside address for a domestic incident. Upon arrival, and after further investigation, it was found that Stakelum allegedly threatened to kill the victim with a knife, and then allegedly struck the victim on the right side of the victim’s face causing an abrasion. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — FRENCH CREEK — Around 12:27 a.m. Saturday, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the town. The operator was identified as Carson Chesley, 32 of Wattsburg, Pa., and through an investigation was found to be driving while intoxicated. Chesley was transported to the Sheriff's Office where he was later released with appearance tickets.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE A 2-year-old child found wandering on Muto Street in Lakewood has led to charges against a woman. Lakewood-Busti Police report the toddler was in the care of Rylie Miller, 24, who did not hear the child leave the residence. He was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and released to answer the charges later in court.
