CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — HANOVER — At around 11 p.m. Saturday the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on Allegany Road. The operator was identified as Michael E. Davis, 58, of Dunkirk. Further investigation found Davis to be driving while intoxicated. He was charged with DWI, DWI per se, and failure to stop at a stop sign. He will be in the town of Hanover court at a later date and time. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Adam J. Garbrandt, 22, of Jamestown, was charged June 11 with third-degree criminal mischief, and second-degree assault. According to police, at about 7:32 a.m., officers responded to a downtown establishment for a reported disorderly person complaint. Officers, police said, were advised that a male allegedly had broken out a window at the establishment, and left the scene. A report was filed with the Dunkirk Police Department regarding an alleged inappropriate sexual relationship between a juvenile subject and an adult male. Through an investigation conducted by the Dunkirk Police Department and a forensic interview through the Child Advocacy Program it was determined Vernal F. Carpenter, 44, and the juvenile subject allegedly engaged in sexual contact on several occasions. A Dunkirk man who allegedly hit a bicyclist while intoxicated over the weekend was arrested. On Saturday around 9:45 p.m. Deputies of the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office responded to a personal injury accident on Route 60 in the town of Dunkirk where a subject was struck on a bicycle.
