JAMESTOWN POLICE - Three people face charges after a traffic stop at 9:04 p.m. Wednesday at Allen and Maple streets. According to a police report, officers saw a vehicle allegedly commit a moving violation and pulled the vehicle over. Officers allegedly saw equipment in the vehicle commonly used for the weighing, mixing, packaging and distribution of narcotics along with a small quantity of cocaine and methamphetamine. CALVES INJURED IN BARN FIRE CHAUTAUQUA --- Several calves were injured in a Saturday morning blaze at a farm. At around 5:31 a.m., the Sherman Fire Department and several mutual aid departments responded to the Sherman Livestock Barn at 4151 Route 430 for a reported structure fire. After extinguishing the fire, the Chautauqua County Fire Investigation Team was requested to the scene to conduct an origin and cause fire investigation. Storage barn damaged in fire BROCTON – A storage barn was damaged in a morning fire. According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, on Friday around 8:45 a.m. the Brocton Fire Department along with mutual aid departments responded to 37 School St. for a small storage barn fire. The Chautauqua County Fire Investigation Team was requested for an origin and cause.
