SUNY Fredonia, UB team-up for lean certification course

The SUNY Fredonia Technology Incubator is hosting a certification course this spring for business professionals of any industry who are interested in improving their company’s performance. The Certified Lean Professional course educates candidates in the continuous improvement methodology of reducing waste.

The 39-hour course developed and delivered by the University at Buffalo’s TCIE covers various Lean tools to eliminate unnecessary process steps, ensure value for the customer and ultimately save money for the business. Candidates complete an improvement project at their workplace or a qualified host company/organization and must pass an exam to earn certification.

The class convenes from 9 a.m. to noon for a total of 13 Wednesdays between March 26 and Aug. 20. For a detailed schedule, visit www.tcie.buffalo.edu/clp-fredonia. Classes will be held at the incubator, located at 214 Central Ave., Dunkirk. The last day for registration is March 12.
