‘Walk for Life’ set for Saturday

GOWANDA — The Tri County Crisis Pregnancy Center is hosting their annual “Walk for Life” fundraiser on Saturday. Walkers may register at the Gowanda Assembly of God Church, 78 Allen St., at 11 a.m. The Walk starts promptly at 11:30 a.m. and is approximately 1.5 miles around Gowanda. After the walk there will be a picnic lunch. If you cannot attend and would like to sponsor a walker, please call 532-9738. We accept cash, check, Paypal and Venmo.

Rummage sale continues today, tomorrow

The Blessed Mary Angela Holy Name Society’s Spring Rummage sale continues today and Saturday at the Parish Social Center, 324 Townsend St., Dunkirk.

The sale runs from 9 a.m. to noon both days. There are many unique items for sale, and offers will not be refused. Next weekend there will be a $1 bag and a $2 box sale. Church officials need to clean everything out.

The Holy Name Society is also having a can and bottle drive the last Saturday of the month in the Parish’s Roberts Road parking lot. Those donating can pull in, open their trunk and have their bottles and cans unloaded for them. The drop off will continue the last Saturday of June, July, August and September from 9 a.m. to noon.

The Leon’s Firemen’s Auxiliary will host its annual rummage and bake sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Leon Fire Hall. Masks are required.

St. John’s United Church of Christ Friday hot dog lunch

St. John’s United Church of Christ will hold a hot dog lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 733 Central Ave., Dunkirk. Meals will include a hot dog, chips, and soda for just $3.

First Friday in the Village of Westfield
