Ripley School Board meets Dec. 20

RIPLEY — The Ripley Central School Board meeting originally scheduled for Dec. 15 has been moved to Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the elementary library, room 129, at Ripley Central School.

CLCS board to gather Dec. 21

MAYVILLE — Members of the Chautauqua Lake Central School Board will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, in the secondary library at the school.

Advent recitals

The First United Presbyterian Church of Dunkirk will present the third in a series of three weekly Marsh Memorial Advent Recitals for 2022. On Wednesday at noon in the church sanctuary Dr. Linda Phillips and Dr. Ji Hyun Woo will perform.

Phillips is a performing pianist as an accompanist in Western NY. She received the Doctorate of Musical Arts in Piano Performance and taught at SUNY Fredonia having previously taught at Western Michigan University and The Ohio State University.

Hyun Woo is a Senior Lecturer of Music Theory and Organ at SUNY Fredonia. A native of Seoul, Korea, Hyun Woo earned a Ph.D. in Music Theory from the University at Buffalo, where she also completed three Master’s degrees.

This free musical program is designed to provide members of the church community and the general public with an opportunity for a period of peaceful reflection and contemplation.
