Parks Commission meets Thursday JAMESTOWN — The Chautauqua County Parks Commission will be meeting on Thursday at 10 a.m. in the conference room at the Jamestown airport. The public is welcome to attend. Untouchables play in Gowanda Sept. 20 GOWANDA – The Kiwanis Club of Gowanda will host the "Untouchables" for listening and dancing enjoyment on Saturday Sept. 20 from 7 to 10 p.m. It will be at the Gowanda Moose, 201 Aldrich St. Cost is $10 per person and $25 per family. Events will include raffles, 50-50 with food and beverage available.

Legion Auxiliary recaps summer CASSADAGA — The Cassadaga Legion Auxiliary Unit 1280 held its summer “dish-to-share” get-together, Aug. 12, with 11 senior members attending. Prayer was given before dinner by Chaplain Paula Pattison. There was a great variety of foods, and conversation was enjoyed by all. A short informal meeting followed the dinner. It was reported that the unit recently held two funeral luncheons for family members of Unit 1280. Unit 1280’s famous Pie and Desserts sales during the Cruise Nights have gone very well. Zoar Valley ceremony this morning COLLINS — The Zoar Valley Coalition will honor Herb F. Darling Sr. and his family with a special tree planting ceremony in the preserve at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16.
