County ends month on positive COVID note

Chautauqua County ended February with some of its best COVID-19 statistics since the early months of the pandemic. The county Health Department reported 65 new confirmed cases from Friday through Sunday — meaning the month ended with an average of about 28 new cases each day. COVID hospitalizations remain low locally

Only six people with COVID-19 remain in Chautauqua County hospitals, the health department reported Monday, continuing what has been a significant decline in hospitalizations, active cases and positivity rate.
