ANGOLA — In an effort to spur economic development, the Evans Town Board approved a special-use permit to Catalano Motors this week.

The permit, which is good for two years, allows Catalano Motors to operate a new and used car dealership at 6777 Erie Road in Derby. Town of Evans residents were allowed to speak for or against the proposed permit. Only two Evans residents spoke and they were both for the proposed permit.

The next town of Evans board meeting is at 7 p.m. May 2 at 8787 Erie Road.
