Tim Crino seeks the office of Hanover Town Clerk

HANOVER — Tim Crino wishes to announce his candidacy for the office of Town of Hanover Clerk. He has been endorsed by both the Republican and Conservative parties and is now asking for the support of the town’s residents.

Over a lifetime of achievement, Crino has demonstrated he has not only the ability to do the job, but also the confidence, caring and commitment to continue the admirable legacy of the retiring Town of Hanover Clerk.

Crino was born and raised in Silver Creek and graduated from Silver Creek High School. He attended St. Bonaventure University where he obtained a degree in accounting. Crino worked at his father’s accounting firm providing accounting, auditing and tax preparation services to businesses and individuals all over the WNY area.

After working in public accounting for several years, Crino became a special agent with the FBI. During his nearly three decades of service to our country as a FBI case agent, he worked on several high profile financial fraud, public corruption and crime scene investigations. His work also included performing undercover operations and serving as the Senior Team Leader of the Buffalo Evidence Response Team. Crino often shared his expertise by serving as a general police instructor to local, state and federal law enforcement agencies as well as teaching courses overseas to foreign law enforcement officials.

After retiring as a FBI Special Agent, Crino continued to share his expertise, first as an instructor at the FBI Human Intelligence Operations Training Unit in Fredericksburg, Virginia and then as the Western New York Supervisor for the New York State Justice Center.

Crino left government service for over a year to become the Director of Financial Forensics for Lakelet Financial Forensics Group where he led the firm’s litigation support, financial forensics and white collar crime investigations.

In 2016, Crino returned to government service when he became an investigator for the New York State Inspector General’s Office. In 2018, the Inspector General promoted Crino to the position of Western New York Director of Audit.

Crino has been married to his wife, Wendy, for almost 36 years and has two grown children, Danielle and Michael. He is the son of Josephine (Josie) Crino and the late Salvatore (Sam) Crino. He currently resides in Irving. Crino is a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and is a longtime member of the Silver Creek Kiwanis Club.

Crino has spent his career working as a public servant. He is looking forward to the opportunity to serve the residents of the community he both loves and lives in.
