Parenting program offered free of charge
Prevention Works is offering a parenting program for anyone interested in increasing their parental competence and confidence.
The program is from noon to 2 p.m. Mondays via Zoom. The program is for parents or caregivers of children ages birth to twelve years of age called Triple P Positive Parenting Solutions. It is offered free of charge through a grant from the United Way of Southern Chautauqua County and a partnership between Prevention Works and Mental Health Association of Chautauqua County.
The Triple P parent groups will be held virtually using ZOOM technology. The Triple P program is a four-session, two-hour video and discussion program which runs from noon to 2 p.m. June 7, 14, 28 and July 12.
The program is a scientifically researched family support strategy designed to help parents improve their parenting skills and build positive relationships with their children. Each discussion group specifically targets single topics including; dealing with disobedience, developing good bedtime routines, hassle free shopping with children and managing fighting and aggression.
