CUTDOWN DAY: Roundabout weeds trimmed

As seen here Thursday morning, town of Pomfret workers were finally able to do some weeding Wednesday evening in the roundabout at Routes 20 and 60. Some of the weeds had grown to about six feet high over the summer. According to Deputy Town Supervisor Ann Eckman, the delay in maintenance was because the New York State Department of Transportation had not issued a permit for it.
