MAYVILLE – The Mayville Fire Department recently held its annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Carlson Center. Hundreds of local children were eager to retrieve the over 10,000 filled eggs.

Participants were divided into three age groups: 4 and under, 5-8 years old, and 9 and over. Within each division eggs contained tags for prizes, Webb’s Candy, and two bicycles with helmets.

Organizers would like to thank the students from Chautauqua Lake Central School, who helped put out all of the eggs, as well as all of the sponsors who helped make our Easter Egg Hunt a success. The sponsors were: A-Automotive, Music for your Mouth, K-Kare Services, R&R Services and Landscaping, Neil’s Auto Parts Inc.NAPA, Lighthouse Point Grocery, Stewart’s Hardware, Opera House Home & Gifts and Trevor Nickerson.
