Silver Creek Senior Citizens meet

SILVER CREEK – The Silver Creek Seniors met on Tuesday, June 10 with 22 members present. Vice President Janice Snyder opened the meeting with the Pledge to the flag and all singing God Bless America. Chaplain Pauline Flitt read “My Father’s Care and A Prayer for Fathers.” Members enjoyed three different varieties of sandwiches and desserts. Vases of Peonies adorned the tables. Thank you Sue Borowski and Annette Hoeber for providing them.

The 50-50 raffle winners were Norra Carroll, Eleanor Lemiszko and Al Wilson. Door prizes were won by Deanna and Tony Borrello, Sue B., John Czuba, Ruth Sheeler, Jeanne Blakely, Sally Shevlin. Lucky card holders for the wheel were: Eleanor Lemiszko (twice), Earl Sheeler (twice), Norra and Randy Nurmi. Lorrie Newman called Bingo and winners were: Randy (twice), Eleanor, Al, John, Arlene Miller, Annette, Janice, Joan Suski and Gene Chesbro.

The group will celebrate April, May and June birthdays Tuesday with cake and ice cream. The club meets every Tuesday at 1 p.m. at 1823 Lake Road, Silver Creek and is open to the senior public. Anyone wishing information about the meetings, please call Lorrie at 716-785-1074.
