WESTFIELD- Virginio Robert “Bob” Calarco, 83, of Westfield and formerly of Mayville and Palm Bay, FL, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at his home, with family at his side.

He was born December 21, 1936 in Westfield, NY, the son of the late Anthony J. and Dorothy I. Raynor Calarco.

Bob had worked for the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) as an equipment operator and was also the owner of Westfield Electric.

He was a member of the Palm Bay Moose, the St. Joseph’s Diocese of Palm Bay, FL, the Knights of Columbus St. Joseph Council 7408 in Palm Bay, FL, and St Mary of Lourdes RC Church in Mayville where he served as an usher.

Bob was an avid cribbage player, loved cooking, woodworking and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife; Natalie Elaine Fassett Calarco, whom he married July 19, 1958 in Ashtabula, OH, his five daughters; Cheryl (Edwin) Cannon, of Mayville, NY, Michaelle (Andrew) Alonge, of Westfield, NY, Loretta (Grant) Scriven, Niagara Falls, NY, Lisa (David) Einink, of Westfield, NY, and Valerie (Mykel) Douglas, of Palm Bay, FL, and Barbados, twelve grandchildren; Lee (Jason) Donato, Michael (Melanie) Cannon, Ryan (Else) and Austin (Shawna) Alonge, Alexis and Tyler Scriven, Julia, Jill, and Jenna Einink, Gianna, Nahlia, and Mykel Jr. Douglas, nine great grandchildren, and one sister; Jennifer June of Pinehurst, NC.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and one brother; Dr Anthony J. Calarco.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at St Mary of Lourdes RC Church in Mayville (22 East Chautauqua St). FH Todd Remick will officiate. Burial will be in the Mayville Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville (139 S Erie St).
