Theodore Richard Reading “Ted” “Theo” “Pops”
Theodore Richard Read-ing “Ted” “Theo” “Pops”, 64, went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by his family on May 23, 2022, after a short battle with lung cancer.
He is survived by his loving wife, Maryann Reading, of almost 30 years and their faithful pup, “Otis”.
He is also survived by his children: Keith (Alexa) Bonovich of Las Vegas, Lyndsay Dicamillo, Kevin Reading and Anthony Dinkel, all of Arizona. Laura Lisa of Forestville, N.Y., and Wendy (Shane) Grant of Willow Spring, N.C.; sisters: Kathy Nierman and Linda Boland, both of Clayton, N.C.; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Johanna Reading both of Dunkirk, N.Y.
Ted was a very hard worker starting at a very young age. He delivered newspapers early in the morning before and after school. Ted Graduated from Dunkirk High School in 1975. He then started his career as a plumber in Silver Creek N.Y., moving to Arizona shortly after for the next 16 years. He eventually moved back to Dunkirk, N.Y., where he would go on to meet his loving wife, Maryann Reading (Guziec) in 1994 later marrying in 1996.
They then moved to Clayton, N.C., in 2001 where he began his career at Evans Plumbing for the past 21 years.
Ted loved the outdoors and could fix or build just about anything. He enjoyed riding his Harley and taking care of his chickens, ducks and his rooster, Rudy.
He will be missed sorely missed by all that knew and loved him.
Services will be held at Horne Memorial Church on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. followed by a luncheon after the church service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Johnston Health of Clayton or Horne Memorial Church in Clayton, N.C.
